Day 2: Trek from Syange to Chamje (1430m, 5hrs)
Follow the Marshyandi River through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forests and Tamang, Baun and Gurung villages, making several suspension bridge crossings and passing several beautiful waterfalls. Above Jaga the gorge becomes narrower and steep-sided in many places.Day 5: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3200m, 7hrs)
Starting out through barley fields and apple orchards, follow the river through a steep, narrow gorge to enter the upper Manang district. In this cold, almost arid climate wheat, barley, buckwheat and potato crops are limited to one per year and villagers depend on their herds of yaks, goats, cows and horses.Day 6: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3540m, 7hrs)
From Pisang to Manang is definitely a 'viewing' day. All along the trail are sacred objects of Tibetan Buddhism - chorten, mani walls and in Braga, a fascinating gompa stands above Tibetan houses which cling to the hillside, their balconies formed by the roof of the house below. In the afternoon Annapurna II, III and IV become increasingly imposing.Day 7: Manang Acclimatization day
The dramatic setting of Manang makes for a pleasant rest and acclimatization day with the added benefit of hot showers.Day 9: Trek from Letder to Thorong Phedi (4450m, 3hrs)
To Thorong Phedi; a rock-strewn meadow surrounded by vertical cliffs with little appeal, however Blue Sheep and even snow leopards have been known to appear in the valley.Day 10: Trek from Thorung Phedi to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorong La Pass (5416m, 12hrs)
The most difficult day, but perhaps the highlights of the trek as you cross the Thorong Pass (5416m). It is a long, tough ascent via a number of small hills, but when you reach the prayer flags at the top you are rewarded with absolutely stunning high Himalaya scenery and over to the Kali Gandaki valley through the entire Annapurna range, Mukut and Mustang Himal to the west. It is then a long descent to Muktinath. Muktinath is fascinating village; sacred to both Hindu and Buddhist it attracts many pilgrims.Day 11: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2743m, 6hrs)
The walk to Jomsom, renowned for the best apples in Nepal is mostly downhill with dramatic landscape along the way.Day 12: Drive from Jomsom- Tatopani via Ghasa in Local Jeep (2590m, 6hrs)
The Kali Gandaki is home to Thakalis, Gurungs and Magars. At the northern end of the valley the yellowish hills (due to desertification) make a striking contrast to the green farmland of the valley floor. Drive to Tatopani by local jeep, stopping to admire the Rupse Chaharo waterfall along the way.Day 13: Trek from Tatopani to Shikha (4hrs)
Leaving Tatopani cross the Kali Gandaki and Ghar Khola by suspension bridges. Gradually ascend to Sikha, a large and prosperous Magar villages.Day 14: Trek from Shikha to Ghorepani (2750m, 3hrs)
Leaving the terraced hill sides, rhododendron and magnolia forests mark the route to Ghorepani.Day 16: Trek down to Nayaul (3hrs) Drive back to Pokhara (1.5hrs)
Descend to Nayapul and from here drive to PokharaReis boeken?
